June 26 Protest at the Iranian Embassy
About 30-40 people protested for democracy and human rights at the Iranian Embassy in Budapest for two hours this Friday afternoon.
It was a big contrast from the previous protest last Sunday where there was no police presence, at all. Not only was there a fence this time (borrowed from the Parliament?) but dozens of police including four police vans and six cars. But the entire event was a friendly and calm situation, however. But I wonder if the lower turn out by Iranian students may have been the result of the intimidating police presence.
In my conversations with the students during and after there was a consensus to continue the protests - but still unsure if the embassy is the right location or if perhaps the evening may be better.
I will alert LMV.hu readers later about what is decided and how you can show you own solidarity with these Iranians.
